Rylan is ’favourite to host Big Brother reboot’ on ITV2
Former Big Brother’s Bit on the Side host and former housemate Rylan Clark is favourite to become the main host of a potential Big Brother reboot on ITV2.
According to The Sun, Rylan is currently producers ”first choice” to present the new series – above former hosts Davina McCall, Emma Willis and Brian Dowling.
A source told the paper “Rylan is really current and has a huge following, plus his love of Big Brother makes him the ultimate fan. There really is no one better placed to take it on.”
Rylan won the 2013 edition of Celebrity Big Brother and then went on to host the show’s spin off Bit On The Side.
Rylan is said to have communicated with show executives when the news of a potential reboot of the format broke last Friday, and he made it clear to them that he would love the job – and it seems that those who are making the important decisions feel the same way.
“Rylan is really current and has a huge following, plus his love of Big Brother makes him the ultimate fan. There really is no one better placed to take it on”, the insider added.
Davina McCall was the original host of Big Brother when the show aired on Channel 4 from 2000 – 2010.
Brian Dowling who won the second series of the show alongside it’s final ”Ultimate” series on Channel 4 took over from Davina when the show moved to Channel 5 back in 2011.
Emma Willis then replaced Brian as the presenter of Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother in 2013 and remained as it’s main presenter until the shows conclusion in 2018.
