Big Brother’s mole faces his first mission, as Omar grows suspicious
The game is officially underway in the Big Brother house tonight, as secret Mole Tays is handed his first major mission – and he won’t be working alone for much longer.
After entering the house as Big Brother’s secret Mole during last night’s launch, Tays is summoned to the Diary Room where Big Brother wastes no time in putting him to work.
“Hello, Big Brother,” Tays says, before Big Brother replies: “Hello, Mole.”
Clearly aware that his secret could already be at risk, Tays jokingly warns: “Woah, keep your voice down, will ya.”
When Big Brother asks whether he thinks any of his fellow housemates suspect him, Tays appears confident that his plan is working.
He reveals that he has already been getting close to Samuel, who he believes could be one of the cleverest housemates, and explains his strategy is to build trust throughout the house.
“My main goal is to make everyone feel like my best mate, cause if everyone feels close, that means there’s trust there,” he tells Big Brother.
But Tays is about to discover that being the Mole comes with considerably more power – and responsibility – than he might have expected.
Big Brother reveals that the Diary Room will become his very own “Chamber of Chaos”, before delivering his first task.
Tays must choose one fellow housemate to become his Deputy Mole and join him in his secret mission.
And it’s a decision with huge consequences.
Together, Tays and his chosen Deputy Mole will be responsible for selecting the three housemates who will face the first public vote of the series.
“Bloody hell,” Tays responds as the scale of the task sinks in.
The big question now is who he can trust enough to bring into the secret – and whether choosing an accomplice will make it easier or harder to keep his own identity hidden.
Omar already has his suspicions
Unfortunately for Tays, it seems at least one housemate is already beginning to question him.
During his own visit to the Diary Room, Omar raises the subject of the Mole – although initially he isn’t entirely convinced Big Brother is telling the truth.
“There is a Mole but how can I trust you that there’s actually a Mole and you’re not just saying there’s a Mole so we can turn against each other?” he asks.
After Big Brother assures him that there really is a Mole living among them, Omar begins identifying his suspects.
His first theory is Philip, after noticing what he believes was a suspicious reaction when the Mole was revealed to the house.
“When you said Mole he kind of looked around a bit, suspiciously,” Omar explains. “There was a brief moment when I looked at him, and he looked away.”
But then he turns his attention to someone considerably closer to the truth.
“Honestly, Tays, he’s a great lad. But like I don’t know man, there’s something about him,” Omar admits. “Just can’t trust it. I don’t know what it is…”
Could Omar be about to uncover Tays’ secret before the Mole has even had chance to cause his first bit of chaos?
And, more importantly, who will Tays choose as his Deputy Mole and which three housemates will they put in danger of becoming the first evictee of Big Brother 2026?
Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
