Big Brother’s Trish Balusa has taken to social media to apologise for offensive tweets that have resurfaced online following her eviction from the house.
The tweets only came to light after her X (Formally Twitter) account was reactivated. All contestants participating in the show are required to adhere to a social media “blackout” while in the house.
The majority of the tweets in question, which we will not be publishing, were either racist or homophobic in tone.
A spokesperson for the production company behind the show said:
“This weekend we have been made aware of concerning historical tweets.
We are currently looking into why they were not identified by the independent supplier we engage to review the digital footprint of potential housemates as part of our pre-checks.”
Big Blagger understands that a scheduled appearance by Trish on tonight’s episode of Big Brother: Late & Live will not be going ahead as planned.
