REVEALED! The new location for the Big Brother house
With just months to go before Big Brother makes his triumphant return to screens on ITV2 & ITVX this Autumn, Big Blagger can reveal the new location of the show’s new house.
Sources have told Big Blagger that ITV & Banijay have decided on the new Garden Studios in London as the show’s new home.
Garden Studios is a relatively new production site which opened in Spring 2021. The largest newly built studios in London, features ‘versatile staging’, an ‘in-house Virtual Production studio’ and ‘the latest production technologies’. They are also connected by good public transport links.
MailOnline are also reporting the news of Big Brother’s new home, and a TV Insider told the publication that the studios is the ‘ideal location’ for filming the new series.
‘Elstree Studios became famous for Big Brother and its live studio audience and bosses are hoping Garden Studios will grow to be as loved as the show’s first iconic home.’ the insider added.
It was first reported in August 2022 that ITV were planning to build a custom house for the revived series, although it is not yet know if the new house will be a complete custom build or if it will be built within one of the existing stages at the complex.
The first house was located in Bow, East London at 3Mills Studios. The show then moved to Elstree in 2002 for the 3rd season where it remained until the shows demise on Channel 5 16 years later.
Following the conclusion of the show in 2018, the longstanding house was de-rigged and eventually demolished in early 2019.
Big Brother returns for a 20th season this Autumn on ITV2 & ITVX.
