It was revealed earlier today that ITV has delayed the return of Big Brother until Autumn 2023.
The broadcaster had originally been planning to air the first series of the revived reality format in March 2023, as part of its Spring line up of programming.
Big Blagger has today learned that the broadcaster has pushed the launch back to later in the year, to avoid a scheduling clash with two of ITV’s other reality TV juggernauts; I’m a Celebrity, which will be airing a pre-recorded All Star special edition, and Love Island which will air its winter and Summer editions before Big Brother’s highly anticipated return.
A source explained that the decision was made in order to give viewers “a whole calendar of big reality TV formats across the year”.
It was recently announced that the reality TV sensation would be returning to screens on ITV after 5 years off air, following the final series on Channel 5 in 2018.
