Why Celebrity Big Brother and why now?

I’m not quite sure why. I must have been feeling, I don’t know, soft that day. I remember saying, oooh, that’s not an immediate no. And why now? Well why not, because I’ve nothing to lose and nothing to g a i n , I ’ m j u s t wa n t i n g a n experience and it’s a wonderful experience and a lovely invitation so why not.

What do you hope to get from the experience?

I think it would be lovely to make a friend or two. That would be nice. But mostly I think, when you get to this age, it’s nice to learn new things about yourself. What you can stick, what you can’t stick, what you like and don’t like, and I think that would be a very good test for me. I’ve been sitting in Cornwall for so long, you know life has been good to me, it’s been very easy and I think I need a bit of sand in my life. A bit of grit.

What most scares you about the experience?

It’s an experience you don’t know how you’re going to react until you’re in it so that scares me. I’m a bit worried about that, but on the other hand I do think I’ll be fine.

Describe what you’re like to live with in 3 words.

I try to be fun, I try to be easy and I try to be friendly.

Are there any traits or habits you have that you think fellow housemates might find difficult to live with?

The thing that drove my kids mad was that I like to tidy up. I like to tidy up other people’s things and put them away and they can’t find them and that’s irritating.

What will you find difficult to live with?

Mess. Some mess. But I am getting better at ignoring it. But a bit of mess. A bit of laziness – that doesn’t appeal to me.

Dream CBB housemates?

I have no idea! Honestly it’s so hard. I don’t know, Ryan Gosling! I can’t think of anyone else now!

Worst CBB housemates?

My worst Housemate would be someone who expects everything to be done for them. We all need to share. Team play.

What items are you packing that you can’t live without?

I don’t need teabags, do I? But I can’t do without tea! I might take a teddy. I have a small teddy, well he’s not that small but if he’s allowed I’ll bring him because he just smells like home.

What will be the hardest thing?

I have three cats and I’m going to miss them. But they’ll be watching!

How will you cope without a phone?

Very happily. I don’t need a phone. I can’t wait for the digital detox.
