Details: Mickey is removed from the Celebrity Big Brother house

Mickey Rourke has been removed from the Celebrity Big Brother house following a heated altercation and repeated use of offensive language. The incident, which unfolded during a pirate-themed task, culminated in Rourke’s expulsion, as confirmed by ITV and will be shown on tonight’s show at 10pm on ITV1 & ITVX.
The confrontation began when housemate Chris made a remark perceived as disrespectful by Rourke. The situation escalated rapidly, with Rourke confronting Chris and employing aggressive language. Despite attempts by fellow housemates Danny and Daley to diffuse the tension, Rourke’s behaviour prompted Big Brother to intervene.
“Don’t f***ing eyeball me. You c***,” Rourke was heard saying, escalating the situation dramatically.
Big Brother summoned Rourke to the diary room, where he was reprimanded for his “threatening and aggressive” language, as well as for previously using “inappropriate sexual language” towards housemate Ella. This was not Rourke’s first warning regarding his conduct.
“Earlier today in a disagreement with Chris, your language and behaviour was threatening and aggressive. Big Brother does not tolerate threatening language or behaviour. In addition, you have used inappropriate sexual language to Ella,” Big Brother stated.
Rourke, in response, acknowledged his wrongdoing, admitting, “Yes sir. I did wrong. I apologise. I’m sorry. I can’t take it back, you know, I stepped over the line. And I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing. ‘Cause I lost my temper, and I’ve been trying to work on it my whole life and I wish I would have had better self-control and I’m very sorry. I’m ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there.”
Despite his apology, Big Brother deemed Rourke’s behaviour “seriously unacceptable,” resulting in his immediate removal from the house.
“Big Brother considers your language and behaviour today to be seriously unacceptable and as a result Big Brother has no option but to ask you to leave the Big Brother house,” Big Brother informed him.
Rourke expressed remorse, stating, “I blame myself, I know it was my bad. You know, I’ve got a short fuse and I know I upset a lot of people out there, you know. And I’m sorry for that. I’m actually ashamed of myself for getting that hot. I went over the line, you know, I did wrong. I guess, like they say, I’m a work in progress.”
The incident has sparked widespread discussion among viewers and fellow housemates. Ella, in particular, expressed her unease, highlighting the impact of Rourke’s earlier comments.
“It’s fine – you can be just someone, but be mindful of what it can trigger in other people, because it’s made me feel very uneasy,” she stated.
This expulsion marks a significant moment in the current season of Celebrity Big Brother, underscoring the show’s zero-tolerance policy towards aggressive and offensive behaviour. The production team has reiterated its commitment to maintaining a respectful and safe environment for all participants.
