Big Brother Late & Live is reportedly Axed by ITV

It has been reported today that ITV has axed Big Brother spin off series Late & Live after two years on air.

The late-night companion show, which had featured exclusive interviews, extended highlights and live discussions, will reportedly not be returning for the next series which is not set to begin until Autumn 2026.

The decision comes following a mixed response to the spin-off during the past two seasons, with many fans enjoying the added content, while others felt the core series stood stronger on its own. The move now leaves viewers wondering what shape the Big Brother brand will take when it returns to screens.

The broadcaster has not yet revealed whether the next civilian series, expected in Autumn 2026, will come with any format changes, new live elements, or adjustments to the hosting setup. With the spin-off now officially scrapped, all attention is turning to what ITV will announce next and how the network intends to refine the show for its next run.

Big Blagger understands that Big Brother remains an important part of ITV’s reality line-up, and indications suggest the broadcaster still sees strong value in the format following its strong performance on ITVX.

When approached for comment by Big Blagger, an ITV spokesperson said, “We will confirm plans for Big Brother’s forthcoming series in due course.”

Big Brother is set to return for it’s 23rd series in Autumn 2026 on ITV2 & ITVX.
