Eviction night sees temperatures rise
Coming up on tonight’s Big Brother, with Izaaz the latest evicted from the Big Brother House, conversation quickly turns to some of the chants from the crowd gathered outside.
Lily is convinced she heard her name several times, which as the night unfolds, leads to an epic falling out with tempers flaring and Housemates locking horns.
Lily says: “I heard ‘Get Lily out, Get Lily out’.”
Dean, Ali, Martha and Lily discuss what they think they heard, with each one slightly unsure. But Lily remains convinced she heard her name.
Martha: “I didn’t hear that. I did not hear that.”
Martha says to Hanah: “You heard that, didn’t you?”
Hanah: “I did, yeah.”
Martha: “Did you really?”
Hanah: “Yes I did.”
Martha: “Did you hear Get Martha Out?”
Hanah: “No. Just get her.”
Conversation and speculation continues with Housemates going around in circles, leading Martha to share a conversation she had with Hanah. As the evening progresses, Martha and Hanah go head-to-head.
Martha: “Hanah, did you hear that? She just ignored the question…”
Hanah responds: “If I say what I say it just worsens the situation.”
Probing Hanah further, she confirms to Lily what she heard.
Nathan: “Hanah, did you say you heard ‘Get Lily out?’”
Hanah: “Yes, I said I heard it. However, I said that to Martha. The reason I wasn’t going to repeat it is simply because I knew she was going to start crying. Is it that deep? No. It’s pantomime. If people know that it will upset her, I shouldn’t be asked that in front of her.”
Seemingly at an impasse as to how to rectify the situation, Hanah leaves the room. And towards the end of the night, Martha extends an olive branch to Hanah in an attempt to clear the air.
Martha: “Hanah, I know you don’t want to talk to me. But I just want to say I’m really sorry. I shouldn’t have put you in that position. I shouldn’t have asked you that when you felt uncomfortable. You had that conversation with me privately. I was wrong to have done that. I’m sorry it’s escalated so much. I’m sorry for disrespecting you and I’m sorry for putting you in that situation. In the moment, I didn’t think. It was all heightened. In my eyes I had Lily’s best interests at heart, but I can see from hindsight that that wasn’t the right thing to have done.”
Hanah: “I accept your apology. Even though you or others might have perceived the way I might have reacted as me going full throttle. I was very much trying to keep my composure. That’s why I’ve been telling people – please do not rattle me. Hopefully one day we can resolve this. But as I said I’m not 24 hours/tomorrow type of girl. But for now, let’s just keep distance.”
Will they be able to build bridges or is this the end of their friendship?
Tune in tonight at 9pm on ITV2 & ITVX.
