Tonight! The First Housemate Faces Eviction in Big Brother’s Exit Room Twist
Big Brother returned to ITV2 last night as 12 brand new housemates entered the Big Brother House. But in true Big Brother fashion, the celebrations didn’t last long as the first major twist of the series unveiled.
Viewers were given the chance to cast their votes for the housemate they wanted to receive the dreaded ‘evil eye’, putting them at risk of becoming the very first evictee of the series. Caroline, Emily and Sam were the unlucky three who found themselves in the firing line.
Big Brother gathered the trio and announced:
“This is Big Brother. Emily, Sam and Caroline, the public have spoken. your fate will be decided in… The Exit Room. Three of you will enter but only two of you will return.”
Once inside The Exit Room, the twist took an even bigger turn. Despite being voted there by the public, the final decision would not rest with the audience, but with the housemates themselves.
Caroline was first to break the tension, telling Emily and Sam: “Look, I’ll go cause you two are young.”
Each then made their case to stay in the House:
- Emily: “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity… I’m young and this is just absolutely crazy for me, and I love Big Brother…”
- Caroline: “I would absolutely bloody love to stay… but the main reason is because I brought so many clothes, jewellery, cowboy hats… I thought this would be an opportunity to know what I’m actually like.”
- Sam: “I’ve wanted to do this my whole life… I’m just so scared to cut it short but I feel that’s really selfish… I just really want to do this experience and I’m scared to miss out.”
After making their pleas, Big Brother told the group that it was time to lock in their final answer.
Caroline, Emily and Sam each then cast their vote on who they wanted to see leave the house, meaning one housemate’s Big Brother journey will come to an end less than a few hours after it began.
