Emily Becomes the First Housemate Evicted from the Big Brother House
The very first eviction of the new series has taken place (on launch night!) and it was Emily who became the first housemate to leave the Big Brother House, less than a few hours after entering.
Following last night’s shock twist, Caroline, Emily and Sam were sent to The Exit Room after receiving the most votes from the public to receive the dreaded ‘evil eye’. Once inside, Big Brother revealed that the final decision on who should leave would not be made by viewers, but by the housemates themselves.
Each housemate was handed a pair of silver eyes. Hidden inside each eye were the names of their fellow nominees. One by one, they had to select the eye of the housemate they wanted to evict.
Emily chose Caroline, Caroline chose Emily and Sam chose Emily.
With two votes against her, Emily was evicted and left the Big Brother House immediately, making her the first to be evicted this series.
The decision came after emotional pleas from all three at risk, with Emily calling her chance to be in the House “a once in a lifetime opportunity.” Despite her determination to stay, the vote did not fall in her favour.
Caroline and Sam return to the House, while Emily’s journey ends just hours after it began.
Big Brother continues Sunday – Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 & ITVX.
