Two new permanent structures are currently under construction – one will be a two story extension to the Big Brother house complete with additional garden area. There are currently no confirmed plans for the new extension, with rumours ranging from a new ‘Second House’ to being used as a ‘Task Arena’.

The second permanent structure being built is an improved eviction stage, with Channel 5 having said that the existing eviction stage was unsuitable for use in bad weather conditions.

Changes to the shows format are also being planned for the summer, with Channel 5 promising massive changes. Big Brother’s Bit on the Side host Rylan Clark-Neal told I Talk Telly: “It’s all change at Big Brother so it’ll be like starting a new job. We’ve been ready for a while for that, and I think the public have been ready for that, so I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s reactions on launch night”
