ITV reveal brand new Big Brother eye

ITV has unveiled the new eye for the upcoming series of Big Brother, alongside a teaser that aired during Coronation Street, narrated by Marcus Bentley, stating that Big Brother is coming soon to a blinking eye.

The new eye is a striking close-up of a human eye with a violet-purple iris, framed by dark lashes. Its most distinctive feature is texture: the whole image, skin, eyelid and iris alike, is built from a mosaic of hundreds of smaller eyes in different colours, tiled together across the frame. The result is an eye made up of countless watching eyes, a nod to the show’s core theme of being watched, with the violet iris standing out as the focal point.

The new series, returning this autumn on ITV2 and ITVX, will be the channel’s biggest yet, running for eight weeks. AJ Odudu and Will Best return to host as a new group of strangers moves into the nation’s most famous house.

This year’s house has been reimagined as a house of surprises, designed to keep Housemates on their toes with unexpected twists and game-changing moments at every turn. Across the extended run, viewers can expect ambitious tasks, high-stakes nominations and dramatic live evictions as the group faces fresh challenges in their bid to outlast their rivals. Who will be crowned this year’s winner and take home a life-changing cash prize is, as ever, down to the public to decide.

The Big Brother brand has received over 157 million streams on ITVX to date. Big Brother is produced by Initial, part of Banijay UK, for ITV2 and ITVX.
