Bad Brother Takes Over The House As Housemates Face Twisted Tests
The Housemates are in for a rude awakening tonight as they discover that Big Brother has been overthrown, and in his place stands Bad Brother.
Woken to a transformed House for this week’s shopping task, the group quickly realises they’re no longer in charge of their own fate. “Listen up, maggots,” booms Bad Brother. “You do not want to keep me waiting. This is no longer Big Brother, this is Bad Brother.” Locked away somewhere in the Garden, Big Brother’s voice pleads for help as the Housemates learn they must complete a series of twisted tests to win keys and set him free. There are twenty keys in total, but only one will unlock the chains and bring Big Brother back – fail, and they’ll face the wrath of Bad Brother.
Adding to the chaos, Farida, Richard and Teja are chosen as Bad Brother’s Henchmen and summoned to the ominous Bad Basement. “Henchmen, it is your duty to assist Bad Brother in all of his bad biddings today,” he orders. “You must ensure your Housemates have an extraordinarily bad day.” The trio seem to relish their roles, with Teja promising to “rule with an iron fist” and Farida declaring she’s “feeling wicked”, while Richard simply grins and says, “Splendid, we shall so do.” To make their day even sweeter, Bad Brother rewards his Henchmen with luxury meals as the rest of the Housemates face torment above ground.
Meanwhile, in the Garden, Big Brother pleads with the others from his box: “Housemates, it will be horrible if he’s left in charge. Let me out and I’ll give you the luxury shopping budget of your dreams -you’re just going to have to do whatever Bad Brother says.” The Housemates must decide whether they can endure a day ruled by Bad Brother to save their captured host.
But the wickedness doesn’t end there. Back in the Bad Basement, Bad Brother presents his Henchmen with a sinister challenge. “Before you is a telephone that will connect you to the other Housemates,” he says. “Every bad call will result in a bad outcome for one Housemate. Let the game begin.” After a series of unpleasant calls, Bad Brother delivers one final instruction: “Bad Brother wants you to call the Housemate that you want to have bad news.” After some hesitation, Teja says, “Anyone is gonna be f****d off by that. The only person I feel comfortable to do that to is Emily.” Farida makes the call: “Emily, you are getting bad news.”
The tension in the House is instant. “Bad news? Fk, that doesn’t sound promising,” Emily says, growing increasingly anxious. “What does that mean? Fk.” Marcus tries to joke, “This is AJ & Will,” but Emily isn’t laughing. “No, can you actually not,” she replies, visibly uneasy. Even down in the Basement, Richard admits, “I can’t bear this.” What bad news will Bad Brother’s Henchmen deliver to Emily?
Later, talk in the Snug turns to strategy as Teja, Zelah, Marcus, Tate and Cameron discuss who’s really playing the game. Teja says, “That little group – Nancy, Sam and Caroline she don’t f**k with Richard, okay, it’s clear to see. It’s not a joke anymore, it’s getting mean.” Zelah agrees, adding that it’s starting to influence nominations. “People are being called game players,” she says, “but some of the biggest game moves are coming from the same people doing the accusing.” Determined to get clarity, Zelah pulls Sam for a chat. “There’s nothing wrong with playing a game in here,” she says, “but if you’re nominating people for doing it, while also doing it yourself, how’s that fair?”
As Bad Brother’s chaos spreads through the House, tensions rise, alliances shift, and the pressure begins to show. Will the Housemates survive his reign of terror and manage to set Big Brother free — or will Bad Brother rule supreme?
Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
